Salus Joy Ltd takes your privacy concerns very seriously. We respect your right to privacy and have designed our Privacy Policy to inform you of the various methods and purposes of why we collect and utilise your personal information.

Who are we?
Salus Joy Ltd is a UK based limited company that operate a network of community based member web sites and mobile phone apps, that share a database, which collects, collates and disseminates information about events and activities. This information is tailored as content for the site or app you are using.
You may encounter SJ in one of the sites or apps powered by www.A2Z.Events.
For clarity, Salus Joy Ltd (SJ) may also act as data controller and data processor for your personal data under certain circumstances.
How the law protects you
Data protection laws state that we are only able to process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so.
The reasons we process your personal data include, but not limited to, your consent, geographical/personal search preferences and to contact you.
What is personal and non-personal and authorised distribution information?
Personal information about yourself includes your name, address, contact telephone number/s plus any other information you choose to provide us during registration or during your membership period.
You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you should choose to withhold certain requested information, we may not be able to provide you with full functionality for certain services.
You can delete/amend personal information at any time, either by using your online personal control panel or by contacting missioncontrol at A2Z.Events by email.
SJ makes every attempt to ensure that our procedures are compliant with privacy regulations in the territories in which we operate.
Non-personal information is predominantly statistical information and other information collected from you in order to administer each digital entity, better understand our customers and therefore help us in future management and improvements to the network and its functionality for you.
Authorised distribution information is information collected about venues, hosts and events, to then disseminate, logically, to relevant eyes, normally provided by the host.
Authorised distribution information is also information collected about you that you authorise us to publish, like your site/app name and profile picture (if you choose to provide one) and lifestyle information.
All information provided for these purposes are deemed authorised distribution information.
When you provide us with personal data about a third party (for example when registering a venue detail on their behalf), you warrant that you have obtained the express consent from the third party for the disclosure and use of this data or that it is information widely available from other sources or common knowledge.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any member, post, review, thread or listing without discussion or warning.
How is your personal information collected?
You may be asked to provide personal information to become a temporary or more permanent member on any of the sites and apps within the network or to download or interact with any of those entities. The email address and or phone number provided during registration will be used to send you an email/message to which you must reply in order to become a full A2Z member, on that site/app and then many others.
Once you become a fully verified A2Z member, you will be able to log in to, use and interact with many sites and apps upon which you become authorised. Please note some apps/sites may require additional information for full functionality.
As a member you can choose to receive newsletters from one, some, all or none of the community entities. In doing so, you are allowing us to collect personal information. You can amend your choice, free of charge, any time by logging into your control panel and changing options.
How are your personal details used?
Any processing of personal information will be carried out in strict accordance within data protection laws for the UK. The company will use your information for the following purposes only:
Administering your membership (including newsletters as above).
Enabling you to use the functionality of the site or app including geolocation features.
Maintenance of the Company’s accounts and records.
Monitoring the quality of the service provided.
Promotional by way of email or SMS
Interactive portions of sites and features
Monitoring usage levels.
To detect fraud and to make sure what you have told us is correct (we reserve the right to remove anything deemed offensive)
To carry out marketing and statistical analysis;
To review job applications;
To notify you about changes to our website and services;
To provide you with information about products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
To inform you of service and price changes (hosts).
To provide information to you about other third-party events that may be of interest to you from time to time. You may elect not to receive this information.
SJ host 3rd party sponsors/advertisers and charity promotional material on site, in apps, in newsletters but your personal information is never directly passed to them without your consent. We may pass non-personal information
Retention periods
We will keep data for the duration of the period you are a customer. We shall retain your data only for as long as necessary in accordance with applicable laws.
On the closure of your account, we may keep your data for up to 7 years after you have cancelled your services with us. We may not be able to delete your data before this time due to our legal and/or other obligations. We may also keep it for research or statistical purposes. We assure you that your personal data shall only be used for these purposes stated herein.
Who will see your personal details?
When joining the site, as a new member, certain details you will provide will appear on the site in the members section. Additional information may appear with your personal profile.
If you add/amend a profile picture, this will appear with your profile when you join the site.
You are welcome to use a nom de plume and/or any tasteful image.
When using in-network messaging, some personal information may be passed between members.
Your name will appear if you win a prize. Winners names may be associated with the area of origin eg.Joe Bloggs, of Newcastle. For clarity, hosts wanting their events to be published on the network, will be required to sign up as personal members and then are invited to add professional host profile/s.
Professional host profiles can have differing email addresses (and different from your personal email address), allowing the zumba teacher in the morning to also be the pilates instructor in the afternoon and DJ at night, reflecting your different personalities in the gig era. These email addresses by necessity are no longer deemed personal information but authorised distribution information.
Personal details may be transferred or disclosed to any administrative department within the SJ network who we consider best able to carry out the above functions. Your personal account data will not be disclosed to any other member or host unless authorised. Your personal account data will not be disclosed to third parties not directly related to SJ but may be disclosed to an applicable government, regulatory or enforcement authorities when required by law.
Third Parties
For the avoidance of doubt, we do not and never shall sell your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We work closely with several third parties (including business parties, service providers and fraud protection services, hosting services, mailshot delivery service suppliers) and we may exchange information with them about you.
These third parties may collect information about you including, but not limited to, your IP address, device-specific information, server logs, device event information, location information, and unique application numbers. We use their features within our websites and apps, however, in some instances, they may be acting as data controller and they will have their own privacy policies, which we advise you to read.
We may pass your personal data to third parties for the provision of services on our behalf (for example processing any enhanced membership payment) or on behalf of hosts (when introducing their event you). However, we will only ever share information about you that is necessary to provide the service and we have specific contracts in place, which ensure your personal data is secure and will not be used for any marketing purposes. We will not directly see nor collect your payment card details.
We may share your information if we are acquired by a third party and therefore your data will be deemed an asset of the business. In these circumstances, we may disclose your personal data to the prospective buyer of our business, subject to both parties entering into appropriate confidentiality undertakings. Similarly, we may share your personal data if we are under a duty to disclose data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SJ, our members, our customers, or others. This includes but is not limited to exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction and dispute policies. However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.
SJ works closely with the Dating Exchange. As a member, you can choose to join the dating exchange quickly and efficiently by using our member gateway (found at accounts settings. to supply this service, your personal information will be exchanged.
Other services will act similarly in the future.
All personal information passed between you and our secure service providers are encrypted using the SSL (secure socket layer) mechanism built into your browser.
Cookie Policy
This website uses tracking software provided by Beacon to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Beacon soft Ltd , a UK registered company , and uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer's hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information unless you supply it as part of your use of the website. We collect information about you as a person and, when a host, as your trading guises.
This information, where agreed, is redistributed upon the A2Z network,
SJ, A2Z and constituent sites/apps attempt to verify key details but rely upon members and hosts to be accurate and honest.
SJ rely upon members and hosts to improve the quality of information, providing on site facilities for you to feedback to us. We take this seriously. The power is with the people, so as a host please be considerate and keep your listings as fresh as possible (we do upgrade refreshed information). As a member, your affirmation of a host is appreciated.
SJ do not act to resolve disputes but anything posted on site may be liable to be digitally recorded to be passed to relevant authorities, before we consider removing a host.
If you post potentially malicious but equally possible serious criminal activity about another member or host, this may be liable to be digitally recorded and removed before being passed to relevant authorities, before we consider removing a host.
Dishonesty by a member, as a member or host, will have consequences.
Unlike some other social media sites, we trust the law and authorities to help protect us and you, give us guidance and thus help us to be happier and thus healthier society.
This is written by a founding member of Salus Joy, in the hope that our ethos, of signposting of appropriate activities leads to happier, healthier individuals and society, is backed up by a privacy policy that acts entirely within the data protection laws but also extends into the spirit of that law and others that will undoubtedly need to be emplaced to keep us all safer---- and therefore happier and healthier.
