| The Garage is one of Norwich's leading performing arts venues offering a range of activities for people of all ages but with a particular focus on young people.
Our great facilities are here to use too! High spec, comfortable, flexible and city central, we've a range of rooms, studios and a theatre space that can deliver a friendly, quality venue for your event, project or class.
Our fully accessible, air conditioned spaces can be used individually or in tandem depending on your requirements and the size of your event. We also offer in-house event management experience, excellent equipment and support promoting your event.
We are a charity. By using our facilities and skills, you're helping support other activities here at The Garage. We'll be able to continue to provide excellent, exciting and educational activities for young people, from all areas of the community, regardless of their circumstances.
The Garage houses no less than five professional studio spaces - some of the finest and most flexible in Norwich. Light and airy, our studios offer invigorating spaces for a range of activities... not just dance!
Equipped with a range of audio/visual equipment, our studios regularly host meetings, small conferences, exhibitions and workshops.
Whatever event you've got planned, we can offer flexible, invigorating venues for your event.

Our technical and management team will help make your event go smoothly and we offer a number of promotional opportunities to help support you event.

The Garage is situated opposite Chapelfield Gardens in the centre of Norwich. You can see our exact location here.
Car parking
There is no parking on site, but there is a drop-off layby directly outside The Garage on Chapel Field North street. Nearby parking is available at The Forum, Chapelfield and Chantry Road Car Park.. There is blue badge parking on Theatre Street (opposite the Assembly House).
Public Transport
Norwich Bus Station is a 10 minute walk from The Garage. Visit firstgroup.com or call Traveline on 0871 200 2233 to plan your route.

ACCESSIBILITY:
If you are attending a performance or event in the auditorium, then please let us know as far in advance as possible if you have any special needs or access requirements. This will allow us to meet your needs more effectively
We have a loading bay outside The Garage which can be used for cars with a disabled parking badge displayed
Please contact us if you are planning to attend a class or event and we will endeavour to reserve the space for you
There is a flat level entrance with automatic doors
Each of the studios has a flat entrance and those not on the ground floor can be reached via the lift
There are wheelchair accessible toilets with shower on each main floor and in dressing room 3
If you would like the booking information in large print or on a different coloured paper then just let us know
The signage on internal doors is duplicated in braille

All service dogs are welcome in the building
Locomotion Caf
During the day the Caf serves hot and cold drinks, cakes and sandwiches. For evening shows the Caf becomes a licensed bar serving a range of wines and continental beers. |
